Scheduled Tours
We operate a regular scheduled
tour which we feel encompasses a selection of the best
that our area has to offer.
Our clients come from
all around the world (and the UK!) and are of different
ages. For people travelling independently this can be
an excellent way to meet new people, make friends and
have fun.
By traveling on one of
our scheduled tours you will enjoy the benefits of
travelling with like minded people and the savings that
come from travelling in a group.
Below is a copy of our
standard itinerary. If you like the sound of it please
contact us
to make a reservation – alternatively if you like the
sound of it but feel you’d like to make some alterations
please
contact us
anyway!
Stratford As You Like It
Day 1- Sunday
Group meets for the
first time and has orientation walk of Stratford
At 12.30 we will have the
introductory briefing. It will be the first opportunity
to meet the Tour Manager and the other group members.
This will be followed by an orientation walking tour of
Stratford. We will visit Shakespeare’s Birthplace and
Holy Trinity Church which is the resting place of
Shakespeare.
Day 2 - Monday
Visit Mary Arden’s
House and Anne Hathaway’s Cottage
This morning we will walk to
Mary Arden's house in the village of Wilmcote which is
approximately 4km along a flat and even canal path. Mary
Arden was Shakespeare's mother and she lived in this
house until she married John Shakespeare and came to
Stratford. Within the grounds of the house is also the
Shakespeare Countryside Museum where there is the
opportunity to see English farm animals and other
attractions such as falconry. We will then return to
Stratford by train (approximately 10 minutes) and walk
back into town to visit Shakespeare's Birthplace.
NB If it is wet or you
simply don’t fancy the walk it is possible to go to
Wilmcote in the morning by train.
Day 3 - Tuesday
Day trip to Warwick
Castle and the historic town of Warwick
In the morning we will depart
for Warwick Castle. On arrival we will have a guided
tour and then there will be free time for you to
explore. The Castle is in the centre of town so if you
would like to wander out and visit the historic county
town of Warwick there is the opportunity to do so. There
are many attractions in Warwick including the Lord
Leycester Hospital and Master's Garden, the Collegiate
Church of St. Mary and St. John's Museum.
Day 4 - Wednesday
Day trip to the
Cotswolds
After breakfast we will depart
for the scenic drive to the Cotswolds. The Cotswolds are
south of Stratford and the word "wold" means a gentle
hill which reflects the scenery of the area. The
villages are especially famous for the golden limestone
that they are uniformly built with. We will visit some
villages for example Bourton on the Water, Stow on the
Wold or Chipping Camden. There will also be the chance
to have a traditional English afternoon tea in one of
the villages we visit if you wish.
Day 5 - Thursday
Day excursion to
Oxford
Depart for the drive to Oxford
(approximately 1 hour). Walking tour of the city
including a visit to Christchurch Cathedral
(approximately 2 hours).
Please bear in mind that
Oxford is an old town and some of the streets are
cobbled so appropriate footwear should be worn. Free
time to explore or shop.
Day 6 - Friday
Day trip to Bath
Depart on coach for day trip
to Bath (approximately 2.5 hours). Visit the Royal
Crescent, the pump rooms and if you wish you can have
